Abstract

1,109,216. Motor driving arrangements. FLUX-GERATE. G.m.b.H. 1 Aug., 1966 [30 July, 1965], No. 34408/66. Heading H2A. [Also in Division F1] To prevent leakage current from being transferred from a driving motor 2 to a pump assembly, the pump shaft 1 is connected to the motor shaft 8 through a quick-release coupling 7 having an insert 9 of electrical insulating material, and a motor casing part 12 containing a bearing 11 is made of electrical insulating material such as synthetic plastics. The insert 9 may be of synthetic elastic material and has radially inwardly extending ribs 10 engaging slots in part 7b. A bearing 21 is located in a sleeve 23, e.g. of electrical insulating material. The pump assembly can be dismantled for cleaning by releasing a locking screw 18 and then unscrewing a screwed connector 14. Tubular casing part 4 can be unscrewed from member 15.
