Abstract
1,109,008. Electric cables. SœDDEUTSCHE KABELWERKE, ZWEIGNIEDERLASSUNG DER VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A.G. 26 July, 1965 [24 July, 1964; 1 July, 1965], No. 31846/65. Heading H1A. A temperature compensated ignition cable comprises glass fibre and textile fibres 1, 2 laid up parallel and impregnated or coated with a material having a negative temperature coefficient, e.g. a polyamide - carbon black mixture, a semi-conducting thermoplastic sheath 4 with a positive temperature coefficient and an insulating layer 5. The core 1, 2, 3 is heat treated, before applying the layer 4, to prevent subsequent non- reversible resistance changes resulting from heating.
