Abstract
1,104,637. Hydrometers. J.B. DRAKE. Feb.7, 1967 [Feb. 9, 1966], No.5591/66. Heading G1S. A hydrometer set comprises a hydrometer 11 positioned in an open-ended transparent tube 10 between spaced inserts 14, 17, the upper end of the tube 10 being restricted by an apertured bung 13. In use, the hydrometer set is dipped into the liquid under test, the aperture in the bung 13 closed e.g. by a thumb, and the set, filled with the liquid, is withdrawn therefrom, so that the density of the liquid may be read on the hydrometer scale through the transparent wall of the tube.
