Abstract

1,102,795. Colour correction masks. AGFA A.G. Feb. 19, 1965 [Feb. 22, 1964], No. 7330/65. Heading G2C. Colour correction marks are prepared by exposing a light-sensitive material to a multicolour original, developing and fixing to obtain a mask consisting of a silver and/or an orange or red dye image having a gamma which is opposite in sign to that of the multi-colour original, wherein the light-sensitive material comprises: - (i) a support (ii) two silver halide emulsion layers sensitive to red and green light respectively, each having the same speed and a gamma of 0À1 to 0À4, the total gamma not exceeding 0À6, and (iii) a yellow filter layer or a yellow filter dye in one of the silver halide emulsions so positioned that during exposure all light reaching the silver halide emulsions layers passes through said filter. The yellow filter may also contain a green, cyan, red or magenta dye and may be removable during processing. The emulsion layers may contain colour couplers which react with the oxidation products of a primary amine colour developer during processing to form a yellow or red dye image.
