[Also in Division G1] A light-sensitive photographic material comprises a support coated with two light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers, one of which is sensitive to blue light but not to red or green and contains red-, green-, magenta-, or cyan-forming colour coupler and the other emulsion is sensitive to red or green light, so that each emulsion can be exposed without exposing the other emulsion, and contains colour coupler which forms a colour complementary to that formed by the first emulsion. The material is used to record three different light signals, for example beams reflected from three galvanometer mirrors, one signal being in blue light and giving a red, green, magenta or cyan trace on one emulsion of the photographic material after colour development, a second signal being in red or green light and giving a trace on the other emulsion in a colour complementary to the first trace and the third signal being in light containing both blue and red or green light (e. g. white light) and giving a trace on both emulsions appearing as a grey or neutral colour. The emulsions of the photographic material may be on the same or on different sides of the support and an interlayer may be coated between them which may contain a non-diffusing developing agent such as hydroquinone or a derivative thereof. A bleachable filter dye may also be situated between the emulsions, possibly in the interlayer. The emulsions may each comprise more than one coating of emulsions of different speeds and the colour couplers may comprise a mixture of two colour couplers to produce the desired colour i.e. either one red-forming coupler or a mixture of magenta- and yellow-forming couplers, or one green-forming coupler or a mixture of yellow- and cyan-forming couplers may be used.
