Abstract

In a method of concentrating aqueous ammonium phosphate or aqueous sodium phosphate, water vapour obtained by concentrating the phosphate in vacuo in an evaporator consisting of a heat transfer device is used for diluting concentrated sulphuric acid and the resulting heated dilute sulphuric acid is utilized as a heating fluid in the evaporator of the phosphate solution. Apparatus similar to that indicated in the parent Specification may be employed.
