Abstract

1,101,032. Cartons. ALLARD & FILS. 9 Feb., 1965 [11 Feb., 1964], No. 5648/65. Heading B8P. [Also in Division E2] A carton 1 has shoulders 8, 9 attached to its lid 2, lugs on the shoulders being engageable in recesses 10, 11 in double thickness end walls 5. Each shoulder 8, 9 is larger than the corresponding housing 10, 11 and has to be deformed before introduction into the housing where the lugs on the shoulders abut against the edges 14, 15 of the housing. A hole (16), Fig. 2 (not shown), may be provided to aid disengagement of the lug. In a modification, the shoulder (8b), Fig. 3 (not shown), is engageable in a side wall which comprises three layers (6b), (5b), (17), the window being formed in the central layer (17).
