Abstract

1,095,404. Hair curlers. TIP TOP PRODUCTS CO. Feb. 5, 1965 [Feb. 14, 1964], No. 5132/65. Heading A4V. In a hair curler a rectangular bail 22 has flexible sides 50, 52 and a flexible rib 48 at the end 20, the rib having a conical head 54 with a neck which is engaged in an aperture 46 in a cross member 42 of a hollow body 10 so that the body is hinged to the bail, for opening and closing movement of the curler, and is axially rotatable relatively to the bail. A flexible rib 36 is detachably engageable between projections on the free end of the body 10 to lock curler in closed position. At least the bail is preferably made of polyethylene and the rib 48 is arcuate or has straight sides. Longitudinal ribs of the body have hairengaging projections 24, every third rib having a single row and intervening ribs having two staggered rows.
