Abstract

[Also in Division D2] A doctor blade 18 for treating the surface of a roller 10 is cleaned of brolne and fuzz by a series of paddles 26 carried on an endless chain which is driven by a motor so that the paddles move lengthwise along the blade, and by air under pressure directed from nozzles 60 inclined in the direction of movement of the paddles.
