Abstract

1,091,796. Crown closures. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. Nov. 30, 1964 [Dec. 5, 1963], No. 48581/64. Heading B8T. A metallic crown closure has a circular tab 6 cut in its top and score lines 8, 9 extending therefrom to the top periphery. A further score line 12 aligned with score line 9 and which may be spaced therefrom extends down the skirt. A liner 14 adhesively secured to the top has a relatively thick central section 15 greater in area than the tabs, and a thinner annulus 16 with concentric sealing rings 17 and a peripheral flange 19.
