Abstract

1,082,809. Caps for bottles, &c. TREFIMETAUX. Aug. 4, 1966 [Aug. 5, 1965], No. 35040/66. Heading B8T. Both ends (6), Fig. 1 (not shown), of the usual circumferential tear-out strip (4) of a tamperproof plastics cap for a bottle, &c. are thickened. Each thickened end (6) has an outwardly extending overlying projection (7), Fig. 2 (not shown), behind which a fingernail or tool can be inserted, to remove the strip (4). Lines of weakness (8, 9), which may be continuous or discontinuous, define the edges of the strip and extend around the cap skirt (2) adjacent its crown (1).
