Abstract

1,079,103. Tile supporting clips. POWELL DUFFRYN TIMBER INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 20, 1965 [Sept. 19, 1964], No. 38330/64. Heading E1W. [Also in Division F2] A sheet metal clip for securing acoustic tiles to a supporting member comprises a member 16 adapted to be secured to the supporting member, and in a plane spaced therefrom, a pointed member 12 on to which the edge of a tile is impaled, the member 12 diverging at a slight angle from the member 16 so that the tile 22 is urged towards and against the member 16 as it is impaled upon the member 12. The clip also comprises a pointed member 14 which is forced into the edge of a previously mounted tile 24, and members 20 which lie against the back face of that tile.
