Abstract

1,078,950. Vehicle seats. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Dec. 4, 1965, No. 51538/65. Heading A4J. A fore and after adjustable car seat is pivotally secured to the floor of the vehicle by releasable clips 4, so that on releasing hook 16, by depressing knob 24, it can be tilted forwardly. Leg frame 2 is normally retained in fixed angular relation to seat frame 1, by the engagement of rod 12 in a notch 13. To effect adjustment, the rod 12 is released and arcuate slides 5, 6 moved over arcuate supports 9, 10. The arcuate form retains the seat at an approximately constant angle of rake during adjustment.
