Abstract

1,078,257. Light diffuser screens. HUNTER DOUGLAS INTERNATIONAL Ltd. May 3, 1965 [May 1, 1964], No. 18581/65. Heading E1J. [Also in Division F4] A grille for suspension from a ceiling to screen artificial light fittings or from a wall or other suitable surface for diffusing light from windows, comprises a plurality of elongated carriers having at spaced intervals a plurality of recesses 3 and associated hook-like portions 4, 5 aligned therewith and a plurality of elongated screening strips 7 having apertures 6 and profiled edge portions 9, the hook portions engaging in the apertures 6 and the edge portions 9 engaging in the recesses. The carriers may be U-shaped with paired recesses and hook portions, each pair of which engages in the same aperture of the screening strip. The portions 9 may engage frictionally in the recesses to allow for adjustment of the strips 7. The recesses 3 and hooks 5 may have reinforcements 16, 17, 18 and reinforcing ribs or longitudinal edges may be provided on the strips 7.
