Abstract

1,075,523. Tunnel-diode oscillators. STANDARD KOLLSMAN INDUSTRIES Inc. Dec. 30, 1963 [Jan. 9, 1963], No. 51231/63. Heading H3T. A tunnel diode has two resonant circuits connected across it, one tuned to a carrier frequency and the other to a modulating frequency, so that when biased to its negative resistance region it generates both the carrier and modulation frequencies, one being modulated on the other. The combination of such an oscillator with a manually operated induction; generator as power supply forms the subject of Specification 1,073,072. The detailed description of the oscillator is to be found in Specification 1,073,071, and the invention may be used in the remote control system for a television, receiver described in that Specification.
