Abstract

1,073,439. Flashing reglets. E. T. BERG. July 8, 1965, No. 29020/65. Heading E1W. A reglet for holding flashings comprises a bracket part 14 carrying a channel 12 into which, a lip 36 on the flashing 32 can be inserted, the channel having flanges whose inner surfaces diverge at an acute angle outwardly of the channel, the terminal portion of the upper flange 22 having an inner surface which is at an obtuse angle to the rest of the surface of that flange so as to co-operate with the lower flange to constitute a restricted entrance to the channel. The flashing 32 is formed of resilient sheet material so that its lip 36 engages with a snap lock action within the channel 12. The bracket 14 is fixed to the wall with the intermediary of a moisture excluding sealing compound 30. In modifications, Figs 3 and 4 (not shown) the bracket parts are designed to be built into the space between blocks, or incorporated in an overhanging plaster wall. Reglets may be connected end-to-end by splines 50 received in guide means on the reglets.
