Abstract

1,072,412. Toy vehicles. LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO. Ltd. Jan. 28, 1964 [Jan. 28, 1963; Nov. 27, 1963], Nos. 3449/63 and 46926/63. Heading A6S. A simulated suspension system for toy vehicles comprises one or more resilient members co-operating with two or more wheelcarrying axles. In the embodiment of Fig. a toy car has a die cast metal body and a metal chassis 11 which supports axles 19 in slots 18 therein which axles are engaged by a resilient member 9. The member 9 is held in position by ribs 6 of a body insert 2 engaging a rib 10 of the member. The body insert is held stationary relative to the body 1 by a rib 3 and a post 4. The chassis is joined to the body by a tongue and slot arrangement 12 and by the post 4. In a toy lorry, Fig. 5, having four axles, each axle 30 is movable in slots 31 in a die cast metal chassis 21, the leading and rearmost axles each being movable against a resilient member 35. The resilient members are preferably formed of polystyrene.
