Abstract

1,069,702. Bolts. R. P. SONNEVILLE. Feb. 4, 1966 [Nov. 30, 1965], No. 4953/66. Heading F2H. A hammer-head bolt has a screw-threaded shank (4), Fig. 1 (not shown), and is adapted to co-operate with an oblong aperture (8), an auxiliary head (3) located between the head and the shank which comprises at least two faces (9), (10) for abutment against opposite faces of the aperture, the faces (9), (10) being substantially plane and parallel to the axis of the bolt and making an included angle of approximately 90 degrees, the remainder of the auxiliary head comprising faces all points of which are a distance from the axis which is not more than half the width of the hammer head. The height of the auxiliary head is at least equal to the thickness of a plate in which the aperture is formed.
