Abstract

1,069,252. Hose reel supports. DUNFORD FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES Ltd. Oct. 18, 1963 [July 19, 1962; April 10, 1963], Nos. 27804/62 and 14359/63. Heading B8M. A hose reel is mounted on the inside of a door 1 of a recess, the door being secured to hollow brackets 15-which conform to the exterior of the door-by means of bushes extending through the brackets and through apertured lugs 13. The door may be circular or polygonal with the brackets secured to a wall of the recess or to a plate framing the recess, and possibly of a different shape from the recess, the plate having an aperture for the door. The door may have an exterior plate 20-for example of plastics-mounted on a frame comprising a rim 4 and T-ribs 6, 7 which form the lugs 13 and a central pad 8. The hose reel is mounted on a manually operable valve or an automatic rotary valve screwed into a hollow boss bolted or screwed to the pad 8. This boss is connected by a water feed pipe to a rotary water-tight gland fitting into a bush of one of the brackets 15, with the other end of the bush connected to a water source in the recess.
