Abstract
1,067,556. Steam boilers. VAUXHALL BOILER CO. Ltd. Jan. 5, 1966 [Jan. 12, 1965], No. 1347/65. Heading F4A. A steam boiler comprises two radially spaced annular waterways 1, 2 one surrounding the other and interconnected at one of their mutually adjacent ends by a pipe 8, hot gases from a burner 16 being passed at 18 around the outside and inside of the waterways to a flue 21 and each waterway being connected individually by pipes 10, 11 to a steam and water container 12 from which working steam is withdrawn at 26. The outer waterway 2 is closed by dished ends 4, 5 forming a bore 6 in which the inner waterway 1 is supported by lugs 30, 31. A pipe 13 insulated from the hot gases extends from the lower part of the steam and water drum 12 into the lower part of the end portion 3 of the outer waterway. Feed water is supplied to the steam and water drum 12 at 27.
