Abstract
1,063,812. Signs. S. G. FORD. Feb. 17, 1965 [April 23, 1964], No. 16903/64. Heading G5C. A box sign has a display face 2 with a central opaque or translucent region 4 in which the indicia 5 are defined stencil fashion by regions more translucent than the region 4, which is bordered by a transparent margin 6 illuminated from fluorescent lamps 8 by way of inclined reflectors 9. The margin 6 or the reflectors may be coloured, and the reflectors may be flat or concave. The sign may have one plain face and be fixed on a wall. The faces 2 may be rectangular, rhomboidal or hexagonal. The indicia 5 may be applied as plastics letters or by spraying with translucent paint, and in either case may include fluorescent material for daylight viewing.
