Abstract

1,063,027. Shuttering for casting towers. SIEMENS-BAUUNION G.m.b.H. May 7, 1964 [May 10, 1963], No. 18984/64. Heading E1S. A hollow concrete tower decreasing in diameter upwardly is cast in shuttering 15, 16 inside and outside, respectively of the circular wall 1 of the tower and mounted on frames 2 climbing on rods 9 and carried by members 3 slidable on radial bearers 4 by means of screwed rods 12a operated by handles 12, the frames 2 surrounding. the tower being connected by rods 13, 14, Fig. 3 which are shortened by nuts 14a as casting proceeds. The bearers 4 and rods 12a are connected to a central ring the correct vertical ascent of which may be controlled. The frames 2 and the bearers 4 carry staging 10, 11 and 7 respectively for workmen. The walings 27 of one shuttering panel rest on the walings 25 of adjacent panels. Spacings plates 22, 23 between the shuttering panels are exchanged for narrower plates as the tower gains height. The thickness of the wall is adjusted by screws 44 operated by cranks 19a which move the shuttering inwardly as the tower gains height.
