Abstract

1,061,921. Suspender fasteners. AFROY Ltd. Aug. 29, 1963 [May 30, 1962], No. 20904/ 62. Heading E2B. A clip e.g. a suspender, for securing the edge of a piece of material to another part comprises an apertured frame 18 and a toggle comprising a lever 12 pivoted to frame 18 and pivoted or connected to a gripping member 13 which in the gripping position lies generally flat within the aperture in frame 18 and grips the material between itself and the frame. The toggle may be held in the flat gripping position by a projection 31 engaging frame 18. The two members 12, 13 can be formed as a single moulding which may be grooved as shown at 14 to make the connection flexible. Alternatively members 12, 13 may be formed of one piece of rubber having two sections of reinforcement spaced apart. In a further form the members 12, 13 are formed with co-operating hinge parts.
