In a rotating cylinder block cam plate pump, carbon linings 23 within the cylinder bores and carbon rubbing facings 24 and 25 on the slippers 15 and between the cylinder block 12 and valve plate 19, respectively, are provided. The facings 24 may be secured directly to the slippers 15 by an adhesive or by brazing or a titanium plate (27), Fig. 3 (not shown), may be provided between them.
