Abstract

1,059,804. Bearings. WARTSILA-KONCERNEN AB JACOBSTADS MEK. VERKSTAD. April 15, 1965 [March 10, 1965], No. 16181/65. Heading F2A. A device for preventing impurities from penetrating into a bearing (3) of agricultural tillage machines, for example, comprises a scraper (7), which may be attached to the bearing (3), and a nut (2) mounted on a shaft (1). The member (7) is L-shaped in crosssection and extends over part of the circumference of the bearing and over part of the circumference of an extension of the nut (2). The bearing is also protected by an annular cap (5) and a seal (4) of rubber for example and is provided with an oil-groove (9). In use, straws &c. are prevented from entering a space (6) between the bearing (3) and the nut (2) by the scraper (7) acting in conjunction with the extension of the nut (2).
