Abstract

1,057,487. Scraper conveyers. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd. Nov. 12, 1963 [Nov. 13, 1962], No. 42878/62. Heading B8A. A scraper conveyer comprises flights 7 attached to a pair of endless parallel chains 8 by hook-shaped connectors 1 pivoted to the flights by bolts (not shown), passing through bolt holes 6 (in the connector) and 12 (in the flight). Each connector 1 has a hook 2 arranged to pass between the limbs of a horizontally disposed chain link 13 and semi-circular shoulders 3, 4 arranged to rest on the limbs of the link 13.' A flat 5 on the connector 1 engages a shoulder formed by a rearwardlyextending flange 10 on the flight 7 so that pivotal movement of the connector 1 about the flight 7 in a direction to disengage the hook 2 from the chain link 13 is prevented.
