Abstract
105,547. Spengler, H. April 11, 1916, [Convention date]. Powder distributors.-Relates to receptacle closures of the kind described in Specification 23843/12, in which a resilient cap or disk with marginal fingers has a central bulge, which, when pushed inwards, spreads the fingers and releases the cap. The downwardly-extending marginal fingers are turned inwards at their free ends to engage an external shoulder on the wall of the container, and the inwardly-turned ends may also be turned upwards and outward projections may be formed adjacent the ends. Fig. R shows the cap applied to a beer bottle &c., radial grooves and ridges being formed in the top of the cap and the inwardlyturned ends of the fingers 20 engaging under the shoulder 21 of the bottle neck. A similar cap, but without the gasket 23 and with perforations in the top, may be used as a cover for a salt dredge &c.
