Abstract
1,052,384. Electromagnetic relays. HI-G INCORPORATED. Nov. 4. 1963, No.43465/63. Heading H2B. The faces 52 of a balanced armature 30 are arcuate and co-operate with the circular core limbs 40 of an electromagnet. The core of the electromagnet is U-shaped and each limb carries a coil 44. Magnetic sleeves 50 on the limbs constitute polepieces. The electromagnet is mounted on one side of a generally U-shaped member 20 and the armature 30 is pivoted on the other side. The legs 24 of the U-shaped member are secured to a base 10 carrying two change-over contact sets which are actuated by wires 32 depending from opposite ends of the armature. The relay has plug-in terminals 12, 13, and may be sealed in a nitrogen atmosphere. The armature is biased against a backstop 65 by spring 60.
