Abstract

1,047,487. Mounting electrical equipment. UNITED-CARR Inc. Feb. 19, 1964 [March 1, 1963], No. 6998/64. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H2] An edge connector for a printed circuit board 24 has two grooved side members 10 and 14, in which the board slides, which are integral with right-angled end members 18 one placed above the other with the ends of the printed board between them. On the inner faces of these end members resilient pads sunk in recesses along their length urge resilient strip contacts 60 towards the board. The contacts 42 are held in position by a hooked end portion 44 in recess 34 and by the outward extending tail portion 48, to which external connection is made. Stacked connectors are clamped together by means of an adjustable leaf spring (Fig. 8, not shown).
