Abstract

1,046,766. Laminates. KELSCREEN CO. Ltd. July 4, 1963 [July 9, 1962], No. 26178/62. Heading B5N. A laminated panel comprises two translucent outer layers and a composite intermediate layer incorporating two separate, similarly shaped, superposed layer parts which have aligned openings therethrough. The outer layers are bonded to the adjacent layer part by a thermosetting adhesive and the layer parts are bonded together by adhesive and/or pins or the like. Opposed inner areas of the layer parts within the openings may be coloured by means of a paint or dye. In making, the layer parts are first bonded one to each of the outer layers, at which stage the decoration of the outer layers is carried out, and then the layer parts are united. The outer layers may be of glass fibre felt or mat bonded with a synthetic resin.
