Abstract

1,043,414. Hose connectors. E. EICHINGER. June 12, 1963 [June 16, 1962; Oct. 27, 1962], No. 23317/63. Heading F2G. A hose connector for accommodating hoses of different sizes comprises a tubular element 1 provided at one end 1<SP>11</SP> with an internally coned surface wherein a hose 11 will be retained by friction. Radially adjustable screws 4 may be provided to guide the hose 11 and to lock it in position. The other end 1<SP>1</SP> of the hose is tapered externally for insertion into the orifice of a sprinkler, a second hose connector or the like. The connector may be made in conical lengths which screw together, from which suitable internal and external diameters can be selected to connect to a wide range of hose sizes. The matorial of the connector is rubber, plastic or non-corrosive metal.
