Abstract

1,042,153. Display stands. A L L E N DAVIES & CO. Ltd. May 4, 1964 [March 19, 1963], No. 10821/63. Heading A4T. [Also in Division G5] A series of tubular components 3 fit together to form a display device on which Christmas cards may be mounted. Fig. 3 (not shown) illustrates the lower end of one hexagonal cardboard tube, fitted with tabs (9), (11), which are folded inwards and then released so that their respective recesses (23) and wings (25) engage to maintain the hexagonal configuration. The bottom of one component 3 slides inside the top of another, resting on pressed-in tabs 15, below curved top edges 13 of the lower component. The lowest component 3 is secured to a base 31, tabs (11) passing through slits 33 therein. Objects for display are pinned or attached by pressure sensitive adhesive hinges 35 to the device. Components 3 may be of circular section, and need not be identical with one another as shown.
