Abstract
1,037,127. Swimming pools. CRANLEIGH PRECISION ENGINEERING Ltd. March 9, 1965 [March 9, 1964], No. 9915/64. Heading A4N. A swimming pool comprises in combination a vertically corrugated steel or aluminium one-piece wall 5, having double folded ends interlocked to provide a closed formation, an external framework, to which the wall 5 is secured, made up of spaced vertical struts 15 connecting between upper and lower annular rails 10, and a flexible liner 6 of plastics material located within the wall 5 and secured to the upper edge thereof, to define both the side and bottom of the pool. The rails 10 may be of hollow rectangular section with longitudinal slots 11 into which the respective edge of the wall is entered, the edge of the liner 6 together with a coping 7 first being fitting over the upper edge of the wall. Alternatively the struts 15 and rails 10 may be cylindrical (Fig. 1, not shown) with only the upper rails having slots 11 to receive the wall 5 and lining 6. A plastics cover with an elasticized perimeter and a central mesh strip may be provided.
