Abstract
1,035,945. Stoppers. G. B. KOLOKYTHAS. March 15, 1963, No. 10306/63. Heading B8T. [Also in Division B1] A closure 10, adapted to slidably fit into a container neck 13, comprises a recess 16 which receives a removable receptacle 11, the receptacle having pins 27 which space its upper rim from the end wall of the recess and parallel flutings 25 which form grooves 24 along the receptacle wall. Thus the interior of the receptacle is in communication with the interior of the container to which the closure is fitted. The receptacle holds a desiccant, which is not in physical contact with the main contents of the container, but which is in a position to absorb moisture to keep the main contents relatively moisture-free. In alternative embodiments the closure may be screw-threaded or it may slidably fit over a container neck.
