Abstract

1,030,170. Reciprocating motors and pumps. KONTAK MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Dec. 3, 1963 [Dec. 5, 1962], No. 45974/62. Heading F1A. A fixed displacement, reversible motor or pump comprises a cylinder block 1, Fig. 2, rotatably mounted on a cam shaft 6 and housing spring-loaded pistons 9 engaging a cam 7 through ball-jointed slippers 11, liquid flow between inlet and outlet cam shaft passages 13 and cylinder block passages 14 being controlled by a valve plate 15 secured to the camshaft. A shrunk-on sleeve 4 surrounds cylinder block 1 and is grooved for a V-belt drive. Cam shaft 6 is mounted in a support 8 and may be manually rotated to reverse the direction of flow or rotation.
