Abstract

In the apparatus for preheating and charging cement raw materials described in Specification 950,713, the final cyclone separator 4 is replaced by two separate cyclone separators connected in parallel, and the pumps 19 and 23 for moving the powdered raw material each comprises a circumferential-flow rotary pump (see Division F1) into which gas is introduced to fluidize the material.
