Abstract

1,028,644. Shelf brackets. W. JUSTICE. April 14, 1964 [April 15, 1963], No. 15436/64. Heading A4B. A shelf bracket 18 is attached to an L- shaped upright 11, Fig. 2 (not shown), having a channel 13, by inserting an end 19 of the bracket, which is folded at an angle to the horizontal edge 24, into a space 14 of the upright and by sliding it into the channel 13 so that its lower end 26 rests against the corner 17 of the L- shaped upright. The channel 13 and the folded end 21 of the bracket 18 interlock and form a friction grip between the two members. A composite upright may be formed by fastening together a number of uprights 11.
