1,027,141. Pneumatic tyres. P. L. FIELDING. Oct. 6, 1964 [July 8, 1963], No. 26885/63. Heading B7C. To make a tyre skid-resistant, a strip of paper, when cloth or the like coated with adhesive and gritty material such as granite chippings or metal particles is applied to the tread to adhere the gritty material thereto. The backing may then be removed. The mixture is partly cured before application to the tread.
