Abstract

1,026,974. Pressure casting; metal working presses. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. Feb. 1, 1963 [Feb. 2, 1962], No. 4235/63. Headings B3F and B3H. [Also in Division B5] Hydraulically controlled ejectors 21, 30 disposed in two opposed dies 5, 31 remain in their closed position during the opening of the dies and thus retain a cast or pressed article 33 between them. The article 33 is then engaged by a device 34, the ejectors 21 withdrawn and the article removed by the device 34. The invention is described as applied to a compression moulding machine but may also be applied to a die casting machine or a metal pressing machine. Closing of the dies is effected by upward movement of the part 5 by means of pistons 3, the die 31 being stationary. The ejectors 21 are connected to a piston 9 in a cylinder 8, the upper part of which is connected to a pressure accumulator and the lower to an oil tank 18. Cylinder 8 is rigidly connected through rods 22, 24 to the ejectors 30, adjustment being provided by nuts 25, 26.
