Abstract

1,024,842. Controlling motor vehicles. E.F.S. CROWE. July 6, 1962 [July 24, 1961], No. 26658/61. Heading B7H. In an auxiliary throttle control mechanism for a motor vehicle, a trigger 1 is mounted on the gear change lever 2 of the vehicle so as to be actuable in conjunction with or independently of operation of the gear change lever and is linked with the carburetter 6 by a Bowden cable 3 connected intermediate its ends to the throttle pedal 4. A screwed adjustor 12 and/or a cam or screw control device adjacent the trigger 1 are provided to obtain a fast tickover when starting.
