Abstract
1,024,135. Packages. M. JENNER. Feb. 24, 1965, No. 7875/65. Heading B8C. A package for facilitating dosing with medicinal material, e.g. tablets, comprises envelopes detachably joined in tape form with the material in at least some of the envelopes, strip guiding and retaining means extending along the tape and an indicia strip slidable along the retaining means, the strip consisting of a plurality of sections, each the width of an envelope and bearing time interval indications. The envelopes may be formed by joining e.g. by heat sealing, two webs 12, 14 to enclose tablets, lines of weakening 17 being provided between the so-formed envelopes. A transparent web 18 is joined to the envelopes at the edges 23 only so that the indicia strip 21, supplied separately, may be slid through the so-formed channel until a particular indicia, e.g. a date, coincides with the end envelope. Some envelopes (the left-hand four, as shown) are left empty and torn off on days when the tablets are not to be taken. They may be marked with coloured dots 27 on the strip 12. Alternatively sections 22, Fig. 5 (not shown), of the strip corresponding in number to these days may be arranged to protrude from the left-hand end of a package, with all envelopes filled, and be torn off daily.
