Abstract
1,023,954. Hauling; position indicators. DUSTERLOH FABRIK FUR BERGWERSBEDARF G.m.b.H. Dec. 21, 1962 [Jan. 2, 1962], No. 48425/62. Heading B8B. The drive to a position indicator for a haulage rope 18, Fig. 3, is taken from a rope pulley or drum 17 engageable with the rope and mounted in a transportable housing 12 forming a unit separate from the windlass. The housing 12 may be detachably mounted as at 13 and held against the rope by a spring 14, the drive being taken through gears 20, 21 and a flexible shaft (not shown). In a modification (Fig. 1, not shown) the drive is taken from one of a set of pulleys over which the cable is returned for multiple laps over a haulage drum.
