Abstract

[Also in Division A5] A device for clamping a rim 2 of a respiratory mask to a window 3 of the mask comprises a channel shaped frame having a plurality of clamping members 4, 5 and 6, a flexible connecting member 11, anchorages 16, 13 on two of the clamping members having the connecting member 11 attached thereto and tensioning means 7 serving to tension the connecting member and thus displace the two clamping members towards each other to clamp the rim to the window. The anchorage 13 is formed by the end portion of a strip 14 being turned back on itself to form a hook which is engaged by a loop 12 at one end of the stranded wire connecting member 11. The strip 14 has oblique ribs 15 which are engaged by a worm 7 which when rotated by a screw 8 tensions the wire. The clamping member 5 has guide eyes 19, 20 and 21 for the stranded wire 11 and the end portions 17, 18 of the member 5 are wider than the central portion so that they can slide telescopically on the adjacent ends of the clamping members 4 and 6.
