Abstract

1,024,777. Strap fastenings. TEXSTILKONST A.B. Nov. 19, 1963 [Nov. 23, 1962], No. 45622/63. Heading E2A. [Also in Division F2] A device suitable for tightening and securing two end portions of strapping together comprises at least three arms spaced from each other and formed integral with a lever 2 at one end thereof, an adjacent pair of said arms 4, 5 being adapted to be engaged with one end portion 10 of the strapping and the remaining arm or arms being adapted to be engaged by the other end portion 11 of the strapping whereby in use upon movement of the lever to reverse the position of the device, the strapping is folded around the pairs of arms and the two end portions of the strapping are brought together and overlapped to tension the strapping and secure the two end portions together. When three arms are used, as shown, the arm 3 is engaged by a closed loop forming the end portion 11 but four arms can be provided in which case the second pair of arms are engaged by the strapping end portion 11 in the same manner as the end portion 10 is engaged with the arms 4 and 5. An additional arm 6 at the opposite end of the lever is provided to secure the device to the strapping in the tensioning position and end of each of the arms 5 and 6 has a bent over end portion to prevent slippage of the strapping.
