Abstract

1,018,902. Spray-producers. E. H. GREEN. Nov. 26, 1962 [Nov. 29, 1961], No. 44678/62. Heading B2F. An aerosol dispenser spray head 10 of the type adapted to be depressed for dispensing a pressurized fluid product comprises a horizontal discharge passage 16 containing a central post 20 integral with said head, tangential grooves 37 communicating with an annular groove 35 in an end face of the post to impart a swirling action to the said fluid, and a removable nose piece 25 having a portion in abutting relationship with said end face and a discharge orifice 30 which communicates with the groove 35. Ribs 23 are provided on the post 20 so as to fit within an annular wall portion 26 of the nose piece 25 and define a plurality of passages leading to said grooves. When the head 10 is depressed the pressurized fluid flows upwardly through a passage 13, and through the said passages into an annular space 33. On passing from this space the fluid is given a swirling action by the tangential grooves and is discharged through the orifice 30.
