Abstract
1,018,616. Circuits employing bi-stable magnetic elements. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. June 29, 1962 [March 30, 1961], No. 11807/61. Heading H3B. An inverting system comprises three twoaperture magnetic cores A, EA and B the output windings 9 of cores A and EA being connected in opposition and in series with the input winding 7 of core B. The core EA is set to its " 1 " state as core B is cleared and, after priming cores A and EA following " 1 " input to core A, the inverse information to that stored in core A is transferred to core B by clearing cores A and EA. The ratio of input turns to output turns is 1: 2 to allow for losses in the system. The " 0," " 1 " and primed " 1 " states of the cores are also described in Specification 1,018,614.
