Vulcanizing materials.-Nitrosophenols or their homologues, such as nitrosocresols or nitrosoxylenols, are used for facilitating vulcanization. of natural or artificial caoutchouc or caoutchouc-like substances. In an example, 10 parts of sulphur and 1 part of nitrosophenol are used for vulcanizing 100 parts of rubber at a temperature of 135- 145‹ C.
