1,016,815. Seaming. ALADDIN INDUSTRIES Inc. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 5, 1963], No. 30502/64. Heading B5K. [Also in Division F4U] The top collar 100 of a preferably plastic outer jacket 3 of a vacuum bottle is formed as a separate piece and is secured to the upper end of the jacket by cementing, heat-sealing or spin-welding. In the spin-welding operation the collar 100 is mounted on the side wall 94 of the jacket 3 and is spun relative to the side wall so that heat generated by friction welds the collar to the side wall.
