[Also in Division F2] In a fabric folding machine, mechanism for rotating a roller 48 mounted on a reciprocating carriage 35 comprises a driving shaft 61, a link 65 having one end pivotally mounted on the shaft 61, a link 66 having one end pivotally mounted on a roller shaft 47,'a pivot shaft 67 connecting together the ends of the links 65, 66, a chain 71 passing over sprockets 70, 68 on driving shaft 61 and pivot shaft 67, and a chain 73 passing over sprockets 69, 72 on pivot shaft 67 and driven roller shaft 47 respectively. The carriage 35 is reciprocated by a connecting-link 59 having one end pivotally mounted on the end of roller shaft 47 and the other end mounted on a fitting 57 secured to one of the links of a chain 56 which is driven from driving shaft 61 through a chain 63. Similar driving mechanisms are provided on each side of the machine. A carriage 76 is adapted to be reciprocated along a rail 76 disposed transversely of the carriage 35 by gearing comprising a link 87 connected to a chain 84 passing over a sprocket 82 which is driven from shaft 47 through a chain 98, shaft 93 carrying a worm 99 and a shaft 80 carrying a worm-wheel 100.
