Abstract
1,014,104. Photosensitive circuits. R. J. F. PETTY. Jan.24, 1964 [Nov.29, 1962], No. 45067/62. Heading G1A. [Also in Division H3] A light operated switching device comprises a transistor T1 having its emitter coupled to a second transistor T2, the emitter-collector circuit of the second transistor including a load P, and a light sensitive device OR connected in the control circuit of the first transistor. The load P is a vehicle parking light, and reduction in light intensity falling on device OR causes transistor T2 to conduct and light lamp P. In a modification, temperature stability is improved by the inclusion of a resistor in the emitter circuit of transistor T2 Fig. 2 (not shown), or by connecting the lamp in the emitter circuit. In the modification of Fig.2 the device OR is included in a potential divider across the power supply.
